The updated design of Palava features a sportier look and better handling qualities achieved by a narrower bow and stern combined with an increased hull length. Increased inner space offers more room for baggage and greater variability of seat positioning. Wide horizontally installed seats offer comfortable seating and the provided thigh straps allow safe kneeling while paddling in rapids. The canoe is suitable for overnight trips and can be used on rivers up to Gr. 3 whitewater as well as on sheltered waters of lakes and similar.
Choosing between Palava vs. Baraka: If you need the extra load capacity (Baraka 772 lbs, Palava 530 lbs) and can live with extra weight (Baraka 52 lbs, Palava 38.5 lbs) then choose Baraka. If you are often paddling solo on your trips you will be happier with the Palava. Baraka would be tough to manage alone, especially with any kind of crosswind.Boat equipment:

RETURNS:

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Restocking fee: 20% is applied on returned items not in their original condition.

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Palava is a really good canoe, tested on class2+ rapids. Easy to inflate, easy to handle, and easy to carry.
We love our Vagabond (Palava) canoe, the very best feature for us is it’s portability. In the summer it’s in my car all the time as we’re a family that always ends up on water, whether it’s a cottage or even the rouge river which is at the end of our street here in Pickering. I can put it on my back in its backpack form, carry paddles and life jackets and we’re good to go.
